ERA Smart & EasyHome Alarm Systems

When choosing an alarm system, you can go ‘Smart’ or a more traditional ‘EasyHome’ route. Smart alarms connect your alarm to your smartphone via your home internet, this allows you to setup via your phone; and control and monitor the system from wherever you are. We have a few different options if you want to opt for ‘Smart’ alarm system – ERA Protect or ERA HomeGuard Pro.

If you prefer a more traditional alarm system, these tend to be far simpler alarms – that still operate wirelessly but don’t need an internet connection. Setup is done via the alarm, control panel or keypad; and control is generally via a remote, keypad, tag etc.

Both types of systems offer benefits depending on your requirements, your internet / smartphone capabilities and the intended location for the system. For example, with a ‘smart’ system you can add integrated cameras too, that all work from one app, which alerts you in the event of a trigger and you can view your property through those cameras, wherever you are. Whereas with a more traditional solution, a trigger is more localised and unless you’re at home or one of your neighbours lets you know, you may not be aware that your alarm is alerting you.
